Cancer is the Devil! - Bobby Boucher's Mamma.
Everyone knows about how devastating cancer is. We take the entire month of October to bring awareness to breast cancer. While this is a very important thing, I think that it overshadows all the other cancers to the point that many of us forget how many more cancers there are. Here are two amazing women that have cancer, one that has two types, and neither is breast cancer.
I am writing this blog for a couple of reasons. First is to ask for your support for these two families. There are links at the bottom to go to either of their GoFundMe pages. The second is to help bring awareness that there are so many other cancers out there destroying families. Both of these women are healthy and under 30, I think. I can't ask that question you know. At least under 35 for sure, but we will stick with under 30.
Both of these women are fighters, but I can only imagine the amount of medical bills rolling in. The financial burden is a whole 'nother thing all together. And anyone that has to pay the insurance bills knows that ever since the Affordable Care Act was implemented, that insurance covers less and costs more. This is a fight that these families should not have to worry about right now. They should have to only worry about getting their mothers/wives well. To get them cancer free.
You can click on either of these pictures to be taken directly to their GoFundMe pages. And, as you can see, at the time of me writing this blog they are a long ways from their goals. So, for those of you that think I am strapped, I don't have any extra money to give, well are you sure of that? I thought that too, I have kids that I am supporting and am always strapped to the next check. I don't have hundreds to give. But what about 5 or 10 dollars. Certainly I can skip a lunch out or an expensive drink and have an extra $10 for the week, right? Now, what will $10 accomplish? What's the point, right? Well in Springfield alone, there is a population of 167,319 according to the most recent estimate as of June, 2018. That is not counting the towns in the Springfield metro area, just Springfield. If you take just half of the number of people in Springfield alone that is 83, 659. Now, what if that many people gave just $5. That comes to $418,295 and is more then both of these GoFundMe fundraisers combined. Think about that... $5 is enough to make a difference to these families. A huge difference.
But to make that difference, people have to know. So please, please share this blog. Share it on every one of your social media pages. Make sure people know. I want to thank you for your time reading this and to thank you in advance for sharing this so that people can be made aware of these two amazing families, and their battle with cancer.
