We all have them, whether they are figurative, metaphorical, or literal. I am going to focus on the literal ones here. We all have them, doesn't matter if you own your home or rent, we all have many doors in our home. Doors, as simple as they may seem are actually complex. We all expect them to just work, but considering they are mounted into homes that move as they settle or as the humidity changes, they all need a bit of help.
I hope that this helps you all with some of the most common door problems.
You know what I am talking about. The scourge of ceilings everywhere. They were once popular, but that time has long since gone and it's not coming back. If you have this on your ceiling then it is probably dirty and peeling off in areas. So the big question is how to get rid of it.
off. Then you have an even bigger problem on your hands. That old texture mud needs to come off. There is a very simple way that pro's have been doing it for years. Simply spray the popcorn down with water and scrape it off. I demonstrate this in the video.
great. And it opens up enough area for the water to soak in so that you can easily scrape it off clean. There is another use for having the drywall knife duct taped to the shop vac hose. There is another ceiling texture that was very common. It has been referred to by a few different names including crows foot, and stomped texture. It leaves a very spiky finish that most people don't like. Using the drywall knife you can easily scrape the spikes off, leaving a nice textured look. You can check the second video for that. I know that sometimes ceilings are the forgotten area of a room, but I hope that I was able to help you bring an upgrade to a much needed area.
This seems to be a new error with the PS4. It happened to us when my son was playing a game and it froze. He held the power button and restarted the system. For many others they just lost power while playing. When it came back on every time he tried to play a game it would start, but then immediately kick him out and give this error code. He couldn't play any game, not just the one that he was playing. I checked YouTube and blogs and found almost nothing on this.
What you need to do is just go to the trophy menu while on the damaged profile. Find a game that you have zero trophies for and hit the options button. Then delete that trophy. When doing so it refreshes the PS4 network and unlocks your profile. Basically your profile was still logged in, even though you really weren't. You can view the video above for more detailed info.
There is one other problem with this. What if you don’t have a game with zero trophies? Then switch to another profile on the system. Download some game and start it. Now don’t get any trophies or you will defeat the purpose. After starting the game it should have a trophy line and list zero trophies. Go back to the damaged profile and delete the line. This has helped hundreds of people and hopefully it helps you.
For those of you interested in going cordless and gasless for your yard equipment then look no further. The EGO line of yard equipment has everything that you are looking for. Professional strength outdoor equipment and batteries strong enough to keep up. The EGO company has re-designed the battery pack. Instead of just using an over-sized drill pack, they lined the cells in parallel
rows with heat dispensing material in-between them. Add in an advanced venting system and you have the EGO Power Plus 56 volt system. I was sent the EGO string trimmer to demo about a month ago and have been impressed every step of the way. From the initial quality of the tool to the constant tests that it surpassed, I have been ever impressed with their line of
entire yard? How about 2 yards. Well the EGO Power Plus String Trimmer with the 2.5 Ah battery did just that. I couldn't believe it either. I know some people that have tried older cordless weed eaters that wouldn't even last ten minutes. But this isn't your mother's weed eater. Check out my endurance test and see for yourself....
There are a lot of you out there that would love to do a tile job somewhere in your home. The thoughts of doing it yourself go something like this. "We could save enough money that we could afford it" and "But what do we know about laying tile?" You probably have been down the aisles at the big box store a number of times on the verge of going for it. The store clerk might have even said that it's real easy to do, even a monkey can do it. Ok, well there are a few things wrong with that statement. Actually just about
everything is wrong with that statement. Not only does that give a huge insult to the professionals that make it more of an art form, but it disregards the fact that anyone who wants to do it needs the proper step-by-step instructions to get a good, lasting finished product. I think most of us have heard that the installation makes the difference, and that is true. No matter how good the product is, if it is installed poorly then it just wont be good. Now that I have scared you out of the project, let me help encourage you back into it. A while back an old friend of mine said he was wanting to do a project in his home, but I didn't have any videos on it. It was a tile project. I know that I hadn't made any and it was an in depth kind of a project, but I set out to make the video project because I knew a lot of people out there needed help with this. So I made a 6 part video series that covers just about every basic part of laying a tile floor, or wall.
With the right instructions, you should have the confidence that you need to make your tile project everything that you hoped it would be. I believe that this video series will help you on your way to a more beautiful home.
I'm here to talk about your yard equipment. A change is coming to how we take care of our yards. Just about everything that we use is going cordless, so why not our yard equipment? I know some of you are thinking of those cheap Black & Decker cordless weed eaters with their heavy battery packs that just don't last long at all. If you really kept up with your yard and you had 3 batteries you could go without stopping. It felt like something your kids should be using, but at least you didn't have to string a cord out.
Laundry detergent is something that everyone uses, and there are so many to pick from. I have been using a homemade DIY laundry detergent for over 2 years now. I have a front loading HE washing machine and I love this recipe. It helps keep the machine from stinking, because I
detergent has so much baking soda in it that you don't have to keep a box in the washer to keep it smelling fresh. Also, I have pre-teens and as anyone knows their laundry can really stink. I was using Gain detergent and using 3 times the amount to try and get the laundry clean and fresh, and was failing. This laundry detergent really removes those odors and gives you fresh laundry.
So I hope that you love this detergent recipe as much as I do. It makes a ton of detergent and it is really the best recipe that I have found.
Thing is, most people don't know what a garbage disposal is other then a magic hole that takes down your food. In the years of being a handyman and working with property management I have seen a lot of crazy things put down there.
It's January, and that means that for most of the country it is cold and wet. This is the perfect time for some good cooking. Time to perfect your favorite recipes and show them off to your friends and family. Right now there is a generation that is lost in the kitchen. If it doesn't go into the
microwave then they don't know what to do with it. And that is a shame. While there is a movement to eat fresher, get rid of GMO's, and push companies to have more organics, there is one problem with that. People have to buy fresh, raw ingredients. That means that more people need to learn to cook. If the majority of people either eat out or eat out of
out there that you want to make, you won't. Well I mean there is a chance you might but probably not. I have seen them and read some of the comments. Most are like "YUM" and "I need to make this!". Even though I don't have any hard facts, I bet that barely 10% of the people that watch those videos actually make them. Many of the videos are not realistic, and the ones that are
length teaching instructions. Hoping to inspire a generation to figure out what a kitchen is really for. I try to keep them fun, while teaching someone how to cook. So here is hope to bring the younger generations back into the kitchen.
These child safety latches are a necessary evil. Why do I say they are evil? Have you ever installed them? Followed the crappy installation manual? Then you know exactly what I am talking about. It is important to keep toddlers out of your cabinets and away from danger. You won't see me argue that. And these latches actually do a good job in doing that. It has been
durring a moment of near complete breakdown don't worry. I have scanned in the template which helps line up the spring latch. And the other side of the instructions, well that was trash anyways. So, if you are trying to install these latches, or are needing to soon, then watch my video. And you can download a copy of the template side of the instructions below. Good luck.....
